Flamenco Workshops With Timo Lozano

FlamencoTalk and Camino Flamenco present intensive workshops with Timo Lozano, one of the world's prominent flamenco teachers. August 26-28, 2011.

Experience the instruction of legendary Maestro De Bulerías, Timo Lozano, who will impart knowledge of the art form and create bulerias duende! In 1992, Timo began teaching at the world famous flamenco school of dance Amor De Díos in Madrid, Spain, where he taught dancers from all over the world and became recognized as a Maestro De Bulerías. Timo's Bulerías classes became so popular that he was invited to give workshops in 13 countries (Switzerland, France, Holland, Germany, Italy, United States, Canada, Mexico, Israel, Norway, Finland, Australia and throughout Spain).

Timo is a founder and Director of the Institute of Spanish Arts, a non-profit organization that sponsors flamenco and classical Spanish dance, art expositions, and Hispanic cinematography. He is also the founder and the Artistic Director of the Houston Spanish and Flamenco Dance Company.

Evening of Flamenco Guitar at Caffe Classico

Enjoy an evening of authentic flamenco guitar with flamenco guitarist Brent Del Bianco this Wednesday-Saturday September 22-25, 7-9:30pm at Caffe Classico.

Flamenco Workshops With Antonio Granjero

Maestro Granjero is one of the world's most respected and electrifying flamenco artists, who has performed across Europe, the United States and Japan, was a fixture of Spanish television and was the lead dancer in a special program for Queen Elizabeth II. Granjero will instruct flamenco dance workshops for beginner and intermediate level students at Studio Aíre, January 30 through February 3, 2009.

WorldFest 2010 on Belvedere

Please join FlamencoTalk for a performance with a special guest, Francisco Orozco "Yiyi" on Saturday, September 4, 2010 5:00-5:45 on the Fountain Stage. Francicso Orozco "Yiyi", an amazing flamenco singer-percussionist from Barcelona will be joined by FlamencoTalk's dancers and guitarist Brent Del Bianco in a passionate interpretation of traditional and contemporary flamenco music and dance.

WorldFest is the City's International Festival held annually on Labor Day Weekend. WorldFest hosts the largest collection of local ethnic restaurants, vendors and exhibitors at any one event in the state of Kentucky, offering a wide array of cuisines, crafts and educational possibilities. The event is an opportunity to become more familiar with the International Community while honoring the traditions of our past and our future.
