FlamencoTalk.com presents Antonio Hidalgo, recipient of the 2007 Premio Andaluz for artistic achievement, from Cordoba, Spain in a week-long series of Flamenco events in Louisville, Kentucky. The program will kick off on April 6, 2008 with intensive dance workshops and culminate with performances of “Cuerpo y Alma” at the Clifton Center on April 11, at 8pm, and April 13, at 2pm. Cast of more than 10 musicians and dancers featured in the show’s lineup include guest singers Chayito Champion and Vicente Griego, as well as local flamenco artists. Art aficionados will not want to miss this unique opportunity to experience the passion and complexity of authentic flamenco, the centuries-old art form of Andalusian gypsies that, to this day, is seldom seen outside Spain.
