CLASSES
Beginner Flamenco Dance Class - Sevillanas
New session of Beginner Flamenco Dance classes starts November 10. During this 8-week course students will learn Sevillanas - popular Spanish fiesta dance.
WHEN: Sundays, starting November 10, 12:30-1:30pm
WHERE: Flamenco Louisville studio , 1710 Frankfort Ave, Louisville, KY 40203.
HOW MUCH: The cost of the class is $100 for the 8-week session.
Rhythm, structure, and choreography will be studied for all four coplas (parts) of
this fun dance. Sevillanas is very popular and is danced during celebrations by people of all ages and genders, and
often by entire families and "pueblos". Knowing how to dance Sevillanas
is very useful, since it's a party dance, not to mention, it's a great
fun! It's relatively easy and is a great first dance to learn for those
who are just starting to experience Flamenco, you'll get
many chances to polish your skills at Flamenco parties (juergas). No
previous experience is required. For those of you
who are familiar with Sevillanas, or, perhaps, have taken this course
before awhile back, feel free to take this class as a refresher.
